The challenge
The lot around the chalet was hard to work on in places, which complicated access to the perimeter of the building and the scaffolding setup.
Several corrections were added along the way, including rebuilding the rim joist, reworking the balcony slope and managing water runoff on the lot. The deadline moved and the plan was adjusted as we went.
Our approach
Every extra was priced for the best value so the project stayed within the owner's budget despite the surprises. Excavation and rework of water management, correction of the balcony slope, replacement of the rim joist, then landscaping once the envelope was done.
Isoclad insulation panels were installed across the entire surface before the cladding. Atka pine in Macchiato covers the main walls, and board and batten fibre cement in Pearl Grey marks the sections under the deck. Fascia, soffit and gutters completed in the same run.
