What our clients say

They trust us

SDC Les Condos du Marché Jean-Talon

Les Entreprises EJA did an excellent job on the complete overhaul of the wooden siding of our chalet, and stand highly recommended for their reliability and conscientious work! Emir, Jeremie and their team reassured me that there are still hardworking young people out there, for whom a job well-done is not only a question of money well-earned, but also of professional pride and honor!

Surface to insulate

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know

Have other questions? Our team is here to help, at no cost and with no obligation.

Which insulation is best for a home in Montreal?

Rock wool (Isoclad) is often recommended for the Quebec climate: it resists moisture, is non-combustible and delivers excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Cellulose is a high-performance eco-friendly alternative.

Is exterior insulation eligible for subsidies?

Yes, several of our solutions qualify for Hydro-Québec’s Rénoclimat program, which offers rebates based on the type and thickness of insulation installed. We help you check your eligibility.

What is the difference between interior and exterior insulation?

Exterior insulation wraps the entire structure and eliminates the thermal bridges created by wood studs. It is more thermally efficient and does not reduce indoor living space.

What R-value is recommended for walls in Quebec?

The Quebec Building Code recommends a minimum R-value of R-24 for above-grade walls in climate zone 6 (Montreal). We can often go further depending on your system.

How long does a full exterior insulation take?

For a standard single-family home, exterior insulation usually takes 3 to 7 days depending on the surface area and the complexity of the envelope.

Do you handle permits for insulation?

Yes, in some municipalities exterior insulation work may require a permit. We check local requirements and handle the process for you.

Does exterior insulation change the look of my home?

Yes, exterior insulation slightly changes the thickness of the walls. We usually combine it with new exterior cladding for a flawless result.
