The challenge
Board & batten requires heightened precision in installing the vertical planks — alignment must be perfect over the full height.
The additional challenge was harmoniously integrating this contemporary style with the existing brick foundation, without any visual break.
Our approach
After surface preparation and insulation installation, we established a vertical reference grid to guarantee perfect alignment of the boards over the full facade height.
The boards were installed with regular spacing, then the battens were centred over the joints to cover them. Each batten was carefully fastened to withstand Quebec's freeze-thaw cycles.
Results
