Mac Métal Harrywood steel cladding on a Rosemont triplex

The challenge

The triplex sits wedged between two buildings, with a narrow alley as its only access. Very little room to raise scaffolding or handle full-length panels.

Add to that the work at height and a layout well outside the norm. The same process on a standard house takes three times less time, so every step was planned rather than improvised.

Our approach

We moved one step at a time, respecting the immediate surroundings, the neighbours and the traffic in the alley. Complete removal of the old cladding, structural inspection, then a new air barrier membrane across the entire surface.

Mac Métal Harrywood steel in Brushed Zinc was then installed, with custom cuts around every opening. The new doors and windows, gutters, fascia and soffit were completed in the same sequence for a weathertight envelope and a uniform finish.
