Seamless gutter installation in Montreal, Laval and the South Shore

An overflowing gutter sends water onto your cladding, into your fascia and down to your foundation. We form your aluminum gutters on site, in one piece, with a calculated slope so the water goes where it should.

Turnkey service

Gutters installed by a building envelope specialist

A successful gutter installation starts with the fascia that holds it. At EJA, we have been installing exterior cladding, soffits and fascia for over 13 years, so we check everything before we install. Each gutter is then formed on site in seamless aluminum, from one corner of the house to the other. No joints to leak after a few winters.

Protected cladding

Water running down the wall stains the cladding, warps vinyl and wears out the caulking around your windows.

Sound fascia

A gutter that leaks behind rots the fascia, then the ends of the rafters.

A dry basement

Without a well-placed downspout, water lands at the foot of the wall and ends up finding a crack in the foundation.

Ice-free steps

Water dripping from the roof onto a balcony freezes overnight. A well-directed downspout solves the problem.

What our clients say

They trust us

SDC Les Condos du Marché Jean-Talon

“Les Entreprises EJA did an excellent job on the complete overhaul of the wooden siding of our chalet, and stand highly recommended for their reliability and conscientious work! Emir, Jeremie and their team reassured me that there are still hardworking young people out there, for whom a job well-done is not only a question of money well-earned, but also of professional pride and honor!”

Step 1 - Assessing your gutters

Signs it is time to replace your gutters

When you see one of these signs, a new system fixes the problem for good instead of putting it off to next season. See a full replacement on a Rosemont triplex.

They overflow in every heavy rain

Water spills over instead of going down. The gutter is too small, poorly sloped or sagging.

Water sits in the gutter

The slope has reversed over the years. Water stays, freezes in winter and weighs the gutter down.

The joints leak

Old sectional gutters leak at every joint. Sealant does not survive freeze and thaw.

The gutter pulls away or bends

Torn-out hangers, a gutter crushed by ice or by snow sliding off the roof.

The fascia is rotten or stained

Water has been running behind the gutter for a long time. The fascia must be rebuilt before installation.

They are over 20 years old

Thin aluminum, faded colour, too small for the roof. Replacing them costs less than the damage they let through.

Step 2 - Measuring and slope

A calculated slope, section by section.

An overflowing gutter is often a gutter with the wrong slope. Before forming anything, we measure each roof section and decide where the water should come down.

Start your project

Measuring each section

Exact length, corners and roof level changes: the gutter is formed to the right length, with no joints.

Calculating the slope

A steady slope toward each downspout, so water drains instead of sitting and freezing.

Placing the downspouts

Downspouts placed away from entrances, balconies and foundation corners, where water does the most damage.

5-inch seamless aluminum gutter

Formed on site in one piece, from corner to corner. The size that suits the vast majority of houses and plexes.

Strengths

  • No leaking joints
  • Will not rust
  • Colour matched to your cladding
Downspouts

Downspouts

Placed to send water away from the foundation, entrances and balconies. How many you need depends on the roof area.

Strengths

  • Water kept away from the foundation
  • No ice on the steps
Gutter guards

Gutter guards

A screen that stops leaves and needles. Useful when tall trees surround the house or when the gutter is hard to reach.

Strengths

  • Less cleaning
  • No more clogged gutters

Step 4 - Detailed quote

A clear quote, no surprises

Your quote includes materials, labor, timeline and warranties. Here are the 4 factors that make a project’s cost vary.

Total length

The number of linear feet of gutter and the number of corners make up most of the price.

Height and access

A three-storey plex or a hard-to-reach roof takes more equipment and time than a bungalow.

Number of downspouts

Each downspout adds material and labour. A large roof needs more of them.

Fascia condition

Rotten fascia is rebuilt before installation. We tell you during the visit, before we start.

Gutter guard option

Optional, also priced per linear foot.

Step 5 - Installation day

An installation done by the book.

Inspection

5-year warranty

Guaranteed gutters

Your gutters are guaranteed for 5 years on labour and 20 years on materials. And they are installed on sound fascia, checked before installation.

  • 5-year warranty: 5 years on labour, 20 years on materials. If a gutter causes a problem, we come back.
  • RBQ-licensed contractor: RBQ licence 5672-9957-01. Work done by a recognized, insured company.
  • Fascia checked before installation: We never install a new gutter on rotten wood. The problem is fixed before, not discovered after.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know

Have other questions? Our team is here to help, at no cost and with no obligation.

How much does gutter installation cost?

Gutter installation is priced per linear foot. The total depends on the length of the roof, the height, the number of downspouts and the condition of the fascia. We give you an exact price after a visit, with no obligation.

Why choose a seamless gutter?

A seamless gutter, or seamless eavestrough, is formed on site in one piece, from one corner of the house to the other. So there are no joints between sections. Those joints are exactly what leaks on old gutters, because sealant does not hold up to freeze and thaw. Fewer joints, fewer leaks.

When should gutters be replaced?

When they overflow in every heavy rain, when water sits in them, when the joints leak or when they pull away from the roof. Rotten or stained fascia behind the gutter is another clear sign. Gutters over 20 years old, often too small and made of thin aluminum, are worth replacing before they cause damage.

Should the fascia be replaced along with the gutters?

Only if it is damaged. We inspect it before every gutter installation. Rotten fascia does not hold the hangers well, and the new gutter ends up pulling away. Since EJA also installs fascia and soffits, we handle both in the same visit, in matching colours.

Are gutter guards worth it?

Yes, when tall trees surround the house or when your gutters are hard to reach, as on a three-storey plex. They stop leaves and needles while letting water through, which prevents clogged gutters that overflow. With no trees nearby, an occasional cleaning is often enough.

When is the best time to install gutters in Quebec?

From spring to late fall, before the first snow. Fall is a good choice: your gutters are ready for the spring thaw, when they work the hardest. We install as long as the roof is dry and free of ice.
